Large Portrait of Elga Collin (1904-) standing three-quarter length in a floral evening dress and fur. Signed and dated H. Dohm 1933. With dedications on the reverse, both signed H. Dohm (in Danish/Latin): “Belongs to Miss Elga Collin”, and “Nil non mortale tenemus pectoris exceptis ingeniiqve bonis (We own nothing that is not mortal except the blessings of heart and intellect)”. Oil on canvas. 124 × 94 cm. Elga Collin was the great-great-grandchild of the Danish lawyer and Privy Councillor, Jonas Collin (1776–1861).
