Description
Pair of rare nineteenth century English hand-painted Opaline glass vases in baluster from. Painted with an extremely rare motif of Cockatoo and a tropical vegetation indiginous only to Australia therefore it is is thought that these were made specially for the Australian Exhibition in Sydney in 1879/1880 most likely by Henry G. Richardson & Sons’ Wordsley Works at Stourbridge, whose work they resemble.
