Description
Large Kähler floor vase from Kähler Keramik in Naestved, Denmark having dark brown leaves on beige background. This vase was probably painted by artists Julia Kabel or Sofie and Nellie Lundstein, in the horn-painting method which flourished at the factory from 1910-1940. Julie Kabel was one of the aforementioned ‘malerpigerne’ (painting girls) who painted at the factory during that time creating spectacular leaf designs.
