Cut party painted by Anton Thiele 1838-1902. Oil on canvas, indistinctly signed A Thiele. H. 45 x 61 cm (60×76) Thiele studied at the art academy and took a time with Vilh. Kyhn, however, was mainly self-taught. Occupied for a time as a photographer because of an eye disease, but again exhibited regularly from 1870. From 1872 Thiele lived 8 years in Rome, where he painted landscape and figurative paintings. (Literature: Wilbach’s artistic icon.
