An early 19th century inlaid mahogany three-drawer chest of diminutive size. The top over three drawers with mother-of-pearl escutcheons. The middle drawer with a central lunette containing an inlaid neoclassical image of a woman with a putti and two doves. The whole raised on a base with four tapered legs and neoclassical inlaid stringing. Note: The chest does have some surface cracks which are consistent with its age of approx. 200 years and use. However the chest has been restored, waxed and the surface cracks have been stabilized and are not going to worsen.
